This project started with wanting to give stuffed animals a second life. Since they are quite dirty when they come from a second hand shop, I wanted to make something that would give these friends a purpose without being gross. After material studies I eventually decided to make stools out of this patchwork.
Because it all started with recycling unused materials, I wanted to make the whole stool out of second hand shop trash. When I saw the curves in a slatted base, I decided it would be perfect for the legs.
I first wanted to use the stuffing out of these animals, but that wasn’t firm enough, so the stuffing is an old mattress.
